Job summary

Genesys in Indianapolis or Durham is seeking a Software Engineer to build reliable backend solutions and automations powering CI/CD pipelines at scale. You will contribute to microservices, AI-assisted development practices, and the overall developer experience.

The role requires 3-5 years of software engineering with Python expertise, cloud familiarity (AWS preferred), and strong CI/CD and automation skills. Hybrid work model and collaboration with a senior team are offered.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience with microservices or distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python and backend automation tooling.
• Hands-on with cloud-based technologies (AWS preferred; Azure bonus).
• Familiar with CI/CD concepts, pipelines, version control, and automation.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with sound engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain backend microservices in Python for CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop APIs and automation components to speed deployments and testing.
• Monitor and improve reliability and performance of distributed systems.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices and validate AI output when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and grow technical skills with seniors.
