Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the CRM and Integrations team. You will design, build, and scale integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, and our embedded framework, spanning UI, REST, and cloud services. You will drive reliability, scalability, and operability across distributed systems in a remote US setting.

You will lead features, influence architecture, and mentor peers while focusing on AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership.
• Strong web UI frameworks and REST API architectures.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native or microservice apps.
• Hands-on with CRM platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow).
• Hands-on with CRM APIs (Apex, Lightning, NestJS).
• Full-stack development across front-end and back-end.
• Proficient in two JS frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte).
• Experience with NestJS or similar Node.js backend.
• CS fundamentals, distributed systems design.
• Event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS).
• OAuth 2.0/PKCE, WebRTC, cross-origin (iFrame, PostMessage).
• Automated testing, CI/CD, on-call, production troubleshooting.
• Self-starter, growth-minded.

Responsibilities

• Build integrations with CRM systems using UI, REST and cloud services.
• Develop and maintain integration capabilities across full stack.
• Partner with product, security, and operations to deliver capabilities.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and best practices.
• Write tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Drive reliability, scalability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Deploy and maintain large-scale AWS infrastructure for reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation and improve service operations.
• Foster innovation with AI-assisted development and new tech.
• Review code and mentor peers; resolve platform pain points.
