Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead AI Platform Owner to fuse platform engineering with AI-driven production operations. You’ll own OS builds, patching, and lifecycle, while guiding 1st line teams through new AI-enabled practices without impacting SLAs.

You’ll champion change leadership, develop costed designs, and scale AI/automation across multi-workstream initiatives, partnering with architecture, security, and vendors to land robust, CSI-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of platform/database/storage engineering experience.
• Deep experience with Claude, Microsoft stack, Copilot, Gemini.
• OS hardening, golden image packaging, patch management, agent stacks.
• Database engineering incl. monitoring, indexing, backups/recovery.
• Storage engineering incl. SAN, disk consolidation, replication.
• Network engineering incl. routing, config standards.
• Automation and scripting in support of platform delivery.
• Technical lead / SME escalation and cross-functional collaboration.
• CSI and risk/issue ownership in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform engineering efforts for OS builds, patching, and configuration standards across the estate.
• Identify and pilot AI/automation use cases to reduce incident volume and MTTR.
• Provide thought leadership, governance, and R&D contributions to AI-for-ops initiatives.
• Drive change management, coach 1st line teams, and protect SLAs during adoption of new practices.
• Lead major incidents, RCA, and change control in regulated production environments.
• Instrument and demonstrate reductions in incidents and MTTR through process improvements.
• Design and plan costed, multi-workstream platform delivery projects.
• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code to enable platform delivery.
• Produce run books, policies, and documentation supporting AI governance.
