Job summary

Experian is seeking a Senior Director of AI Platform Engineering to lead a platform enabling 5,000 developers to build, run, and govern AI-powered software at scale. You will shape the roadmap, guide design reviews, and establish governance standards for a global AI platform.

The role requires proven production AI leadership and a strong point of view on how AI reshapes software delivery. You will report to the VP of Developer Platform Engineering and collaborate across teams to drive

Qualifications

8+ years in technology roles.
3+ years in senior leadership roles.
Track record building and operating production AI systems at enterprise scale.
Fluency in the software development lifecycle and a POV on AI's impact.
Implementation-level knowledge of MCP protocol and agentic orchestration.
Experience designing developer-facing platforms with governance at scale.

Responsibilities

Oversee creation of the internal platform for identity, rate limiting, data classification enforcement, audit logging, and model access management.
Oversee the agent marketplace registry, trust framework, and contribution model.
Build the pipeline-level AI layer to leverage CI/CD governance.
Own the knowledge graph and retrieval architecture.
Review designs, unblock implementation, set grounding and governance standards for the team.
Provide technical direction and leadership to thousands of developers.
