Job summary

Experian is seeking a Staff AI Architect to lead the technical vision for our cloud-native platform and agentic AI capabilities. You will shape system design at scale, promote infrastructure excellence, and guide architectural standards across teams.

The role reports to the Sr. Principal Engineer and is an individual contributor position. Expertise in AWS, distributed systems, and AI orchestration is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS, Systems Eng, or related field.
• 8+ years in software engineering and systems architecture, with 3+ years as architect/principal engineer.
• 5+ years of AWS architecture experience at scale with multi-account designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architectural blueprint for cloud-native apps on AWS.
• Define patterns for agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration and LLM routing.
• Establish DevOps standards: CI/CD, GitOps, blue/green, canary and release engineering.
• Oversee platform infra: ECS, EKS, service mesh, API gateway, IAM governance, multi-account topology.
• Lead architecture reviews and binding decisions balancing velocity, reliability, cost, and security.
• Define SLOs/SLIs, logging, tracing, capacity planning, incident response frameworks.
• Introduce new technologies via PoC and build communities around patterns.
• Produce ADRs, diagrams, threat models, and runbooks as source of truth.
• Advise Product/Partners translating constraints into strategic options.
• Mentor engineers on architecture and design reviews.
