Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking an AI Native Account Executive to drive new logo acquisitions and massive cloud migrations across the Americas, focusing on ML and AI training use cases. You will collaborate with internal teams to execute go-to-market strategies and build a massive pipeline.

You’ll own the complete sales cycle from initial engagement to closure, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, AI computing, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years of relevant sales experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
• Demonstrate relentless grit and flexibility, working across multiple time zones and adapting to early mornings or late nights to ensure global alignment, execution and results.
• Be present at the San Francisco Office engaged to lead by example, foster collaboration, and strengthen partnerships at the NA HQ to accelerate strategic alignment and execution.
• Have deep technical and commercial expertise, including a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, AI computing, and the complex financial modeling required for large scale deployments.
• Have proven track record of navigating and closing massive infrastructure and data center deals at the highest enterprise levels.
• Be able to execute a sales methodology that challenges conventional thinking and create4s a differentiated sales experience.
• Have sales experience in Net New Cloud Sales (Infrastructure or Software) in the B2B Enterprise market

Responsibilities

• Executing a global outbound prospecting strategy to generate high-quality pipeline and drive new logo acquisitions across targeted verticals and regions
• Operating with urgency, intensity, and ownership- dedicating the majority of weekly focus outbound initiatives that accelerate top-of-funnel growth
• Designing, executing, and refining multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, cold calling) with personalized messaging and data-driven optimization to improve conversion rates
• Owning the complete end-to-end sales cycle, from initial engagement through deal closure, ensuring alignment with customer goals and Akamai's go-to-market strategy
• Developing a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, AI computing, and emerging technologies while collaborating closely with peers and leadership to ensure consistent execution and measurable results
