Qualifications

• Backend engineering experience with strong architecture instincts.
• Delivery track record with shipped work and accountability.
• Experience building a team and hiring for potential.
• Engagement with AI‑led engineering and hands‑on tool usage.
• Judgment and accountability for decisions with incomplete information.
• Low ego and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery: what ships, its quality, and commitments.
• Grow the people: one‑to‑ones and career paths that mean something.
• Hire: own the hiring bar and loops for senior engineers.
• Partner with Product as an equal: shape roadmap and protect engineers from churn.
• Raise the team’s AI capability: enable agents and guardrails.
• Stay technical: roughly one day a week coding to stay credible.
• Go to the users: sit with freight forwarders and airlines.
