Job summary

Loadsmart is a Chicago-based logistics tech company with a remote US workforce and frequent client engagements. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll build and tune AI agents and automations across brokerage, dock scheduling, and shipper platforms, delivering production-ready integrations for real clients.

You’ll prototype fast, work directly with operations stakeholders, and iterate on model behavior and prompts based on live data, while ensuring security and scalable design in a fast-changing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with Python and TypeScript
• Experience designing automated workflows and AI-driven solutions
• Proven API design/build and enterprise integrations experience
• Ability to translate operational needs for non-technical stakeholders and explain trade-offs

Responsibilities

• Shadow client teams to map workflows and identify pain points
• Design and scope solutions including automation and AI agents
• Build integrations with TMS, WMS, and ERP systems
• Prototype and ship automation for check calls, tracking, onboarding flows
• Tune prompts and agent behavior using production data
• Identify security, compliance, and infra needs early
• Translate learnings into reusable platform capabilities
