Job summary

Tenstorrent is seeking a seasoned Physical Design Engineer to develop, deploy, and own the RTL-to-GDSII flow used by production teams. The role emphasizes automation, cross-team collaboration, and AI-driven optimization.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in physical design methodology, strong tool fluency (FusionCompiler/ICC2, Innovus/Genus, PrimeTime, RedHawk), and scripting in Tcl, Python, or Perl. This is a hybrid position with multiple US-based locations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years developing and supporting physical design methodology or CAD flows.
  • Expertise with industry-standard tools and scripting languages (Tcl, Python, Perl).
  • Deep understanding of UPF/CPF, clock tree synthesis and signoff (EM/IR, DRC/LVS).
  • Experience standing up flows for new technology nodes, PDKs, or foundries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and own RTL-to-GDSII methodology the IP physical design team runs on.
  • Collaborate with design teams and EDA vendors to improve flows and automation.
  • Document flows so others can run them without assistance.
