Affirm is seeking an Engineering Onboarding Manager to craft an AI-first onboarding experience that helps new engineers become confident, effective builders across North America and EMEA. You will lead hands-on learning at the San Francisco office while coordinating regional programs and partner with multiple teams to create practical onboarding content.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years as a technical leader in a software org.
• Understanding AI-assisted development, code review, testing, CI, deployment, observability, and incident response.
• Proven ability to design learning programs and improve engineering workflows.
• Strong planning, playbook creation, and operating rhythm skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
• Clear communication and inclusive learning environment skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of Engineering onboarding, creating technically credible experiences.
• Lead hands-on learning experiences at our San Francisco office, with regional programming.
• Partner with Engineering leaders and SMEs to build and maintain onboarding content.
• Translate AI-first practices into practical learning experiences (agent-assisted development, code review, testing, CI, deployment, observability, production support).
• Create role-based onboarding plans that help new engineers establish context and contribute quickly.
• Coordinate with Recruiting, Learning, People Ops, IT, Facilities, Finance, and regional partners for strong onboarding support.
• Gather feedback from new hires, managers, and facilitators to continuously improve onboarding content and operations.
