Job summary

Rippling is seeking a deeply technical Senior Engineering Manager to lead the AI Onboarding & Growth engineering team, driving AI-first onboarding, self-serve growth, and a scalable product platform. Qualifications

• Exceptional Engineering Leadership: proven ability to hire, mentor and retain senior engineers while maintaining execution quality.
• Deep Technical Foundation: strong background in backend systems, distributed architecture, APIs, and platform infrastructure.
• AI-Native Product & Engineering Mindset: experience applying AI to rethink workflows, with familiarity in agents or AI-powered apps.
• Strong Product Sense: ability to translate customer problems into valuable product experiences and scalable systems.
• Platform Thinking: track record building or leading product platforms for multiple teams with reusable abstractions.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: influence across engineering, product, design, and business functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team across AI, onboarding, growth, and product platform infrastructure.
