Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Lead AI Finance Technology Engineer to pioneer AI-first finance architecture and governance. You’ll shape how Finance workflows operate with AI, integrating NetSuite, Zip, and related systems while guiding security, privacy, and compliance.

As a senior leader, you’ll define standards for scalable internal AI platforms, collaborate with IT and Finance leadership, and drive measurable efficiency gains across revenue, procurement, and close cycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of engineering or data engineering experience, with 2+ years building AI/ML or LLM-powered delivering tangible business outcomes

Responsibilities

• Reimagine core Finance workflows (accounting, procurement, deal desk approvals, revenue) through an AI-first lens.
• Design and build AI-powered workflows, copilots, and agents that automate and augment Finance processes.
• Architect and implement systems that integrate across SaaS such as NetSuite, Zip, Zone Advanced Billing, Avalara/Vertex.
• Partner with internal IT AI team and establish best practices for prompt engineering, LLM system design, testing and observability.
• Enable AI use cases that drive faster execution and better decision-making for Finance teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.
• Identify high-leverage opportunities to replace manual workflows with AI-native solutions.
• Define and track metrics tied to efficiency gains and operational effectiveness.
• Act as a thought partner to Finance leadership on what’s possible with AI.
• Responsible AI, Privacy & Governance: design systems handling sensitive data securely.
