Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Lead AI Finance Technology Engineer to be the first dedicated AI engineer within our Finance Tech team in San Francisco. You will shape architecture, standards and long-term AI vision across the back-office stack.

You’ll partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and adjacent tech teams to design AI-powered workflows, integrate NetSuite/Zip and other financial systems, and drive responsible AI governance while delivering measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years engineering or data engineering experience with 2+ years building AI/ML or LLM-powered solutions.
• Experience designing scalable AI-first finance workflows.
• Familiarity with enterprise financial SaaS integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reimagine core Finance workflows through an AI-first lens.
• Design and build AI-powered workflows, copilots, and agents.
• Architect systems that integrate NetSuite, Zip, and other financial SaaS.
• Establish best practices for prompt engineering, LLM design, and governance.
• Collaborate to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.
