Zusammenfassung

EY in the United States is seeking an experienced experience designer to invent how people and AI work together. You will own the interaction architecture for AI-assisted products, translate user research into production-ready components, and collaborate across product, engineering, AI, security, and research to create intuitive, trustworthy experiences that keep people in control.

This role sits within Challenger, EY’s program for new services, with up to 50% travel and hybrid office options

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• A portfolio of shipped interaction design, design engineering, frontend engineering, or HCI work showing both thinking and implementation.
• Production proficiency in modern web or application technologies, delivering responsive, performant components.
• Experience designing for AI, search, recommendation, automation, or another adaptive system.
• Practical command of semantic UI, WCAG, WAI-ARIA, keyboard interaction, and assistive-technology testing.
• Experience extending reusable component libraries and supporting adoption across product teams.
• Travel and On-site requirements: This role requires up to 50% travel and flexibility to go into the office in a hybrid capacity.

Aufgaben

• Define experience principles, interaction architecture, and reusable patterns for AI-assisted and agentic products.
• Conduct workflow research and usability testing with diverse users, including people who use assistive technologies.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and accessible production components for the product’s web, application, conversational, or multimodal surfaces.
• Translate user intent into interaction specifications for clarification, uncertainty, memory, personalization, permissions, and action boundaries.
• Make plans, progress, evidence, tool activity, costs, and outcomes legible without overwhelming users.
• Design controls for preview, approval, interruption, edit, undo, retry, escalation, and human takeover.
• Measure task completion, effort, correction burden, recovery, and trust calibration; partner with AI, platform, security, and evaluation specialists to improve the whole experience.
