Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced UX/interaction designer to shape how people interact with AI-powered systems. You will own the interaction layer, translate research into production-ready solutions, and collaborate across product, engineering, AI, security, and research teams.

You will contribute to Challenger Core, building reusable tools and guardrails to accelerate innovative AI services while maintaining user trust and control over outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• Portfolio of shipped interaction design, design engineering, frontend engineering, or HCI work.
• Production proficiency in modern web or application technologies delivering responsive, performant components.

Responsibilities

• Define experience principles, interaction architecture, and reusable patterns for AI-assisted products.
• Conduct workflow research and usability testing with diverse users, including assistive tech users.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and production components for web, app, conversational, or multimodal surfaces.
• Translate user intent into interaction specifications including permissions and action boundaries.
• Make plans, progress, evidence, tool activity, costs, and outcomes legible to users.
