Job summary

EY is seeking a senior UX/Interaction designer to shape how people work with AI. You will define experience principles, architecture, and reusable patterns for AI-assisted products, translating user research into production-ready interfaces across web, app, and multimodal surfaces.

In Challenger, you’ll collaborate with product, engineering, AI, security, and research teams to deliver intuitive, trustworthy experiences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Portfolio of shipped interaction design and related work.
• Production proficiency in modern web or application technologies.
• Experience designing for AI, search, recommendation, or adaptive systems.
• Command of semantic UI, WCAG, WAI-ARIA, keyboard interaction, and assistive-technology testing.
• Up to 50% travel and hybrid office requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define experience principles, interaction architecture, and reusable patterns for AI-assisted products.
• Conduct workflow research and usability testing with diverse users, including assistive technologies.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and accessible production components for web, app, conversational, or multimodal surfaces.
• Translate user intent into interaction specifications for clarity, memory, personalization, permissions, and action boundaries.
• Make plans, progress, evidence, tool activity, costs, and outcomes legible without overwhelming users.
• Design controls for preview, approval, interruption, edit, undo, retry, escalation, and human takeover.
• Measure task completion, effort, correction burden, recovery, and trust calibration; collaborate with AI, platform, security, and evaluation teams.
