Job summary

EY seeks a senior design leader to invent how people and AI work together, shaping interaction patterns that help people understand, direct, and confidently collaborate with AI systems. You will own the experience architecture across product, engineering, AI, security, and research to deliver intuitive and trustworthy interfaces.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• Portfolio of shipped interaction design, design engineering, frontend engineering, or HCI work showing both thinking and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Define experience principles, interaction architecture, and reusable patterns for AI-assisted and agentic products.
• Conduct workflow research and usability testing with diverse users, including those using assistive technologies.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and accessible production components for web, application, conversational, or multimodal surfaces.
• Translate user intent into interaction specifications for clarification, uncertainty, memory, personalization, permissions, and action boundaries.
• Make plans, progress, evidence, tool activity, costs, and outcomes legible without overwhelming users.
• Design controls for preview, approval, interruption, edit, undo, retry, escalation, and human takeover.
• Measure task completion, effort, correction burden, recovery, and trust calibration; collaborate with AI, platform, security, and evaluation specialists.
