Job summary

EY seeks an experienced interaction designer to shape how people interact with AI-powered systems. You will own the experience architecture and define interaction patterns across web, app, and multimodal surfaces, translating insights from research into production-ready solutions.

You will collaborate across product, engineering, AI, security, and research to deliver intuitive, trustworthy experiences while maintaining human oversight and control. Hybrid work and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in interaction design or HCI.
• Portfolio of shipped interaction design or frontend work.
• Proficiency with modern web/application tech for responsive components.
• Experience designing for AI/adaptive systems.
• Knowledge of semantic UI, WCAG, and ARIA testing.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and hybrid office work.

Responsibilities

• Define experience principles and interaction architecture for AI-assisted products.
• Conduct workflow research and usability testing with diverse users.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and accessible production components.
• Translate user intent into interaction specifications for clarity and control.
• Make plans, evidence, tool activity, costs, and outcomes legible to users.
• Design controls for preview, approval, interruption, and human takeover.
• Collaborate with AI, platform, security, and evaluation teams to improve the experience.
