EY’s Challenger program seeks a senior UX designer to shape how people interact with AI systems. You will define interaction principles, craft architectures, and translate research into production components across web, app, and multimodal surfaces.

In a hybrid US-based role, collaborate with product, engineering, AI, security, and research teams, travel up to 50%, and contribute to reusable design patterns while ensuring accessible, trustworthy experiences for users.

Qualifikationen

• To qualify you must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of applicable experience.
• Portfolio of shipped interaction design, design engineering, frontend engineering, or HCI work.
• Production proficiency in modern web or application technologies, delivering responsive, performant components.
• Experience designing for AI, search, recommendation, automation, or another adaptive system.
• Practical command of semantic UI, WCAG, WAI-ARIA, keyboard interaction, and assistive-technology testing.
• Experience extending reusable component libraries and supporting adoption across product teams.

Aufgaben

• Define experience principles, interaction architecture, and reusable patterns for AI-assisted products.
• Conduct workflow research and usability testing with diverse users, including assistive technologies.
• Build high-fidelity prototypes and accessible production components for web, app, conversational, or multimodal surfaces.
• Translate user intent into interaction specifications for clarification, uncertainty, memory, personalization, permissions, and action boundaries.
• Make plans, progress, evidence, tool activity, costs, and outcomes legible without overwhelming users.
• Design controls for preview, approval, interruption, edit, undo, retry, escalation, and human takeover.
• Measure task completion, effort, correction burden, recovery, and trust calibration; collaborate with AI, platform, security, and evaluation specialists.
