Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to design and deploy AI solutions for internal transportation initiatives.

You will build scalable data pipelines, manage model lifecycles, and identify bottlenecks to accelerate HDR’s AI maturity across the Transportation Business Group. The role blends internal capability development with future client-facing delivery, requiring collaboration with IT, data architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex problems into

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience with data engineering tools and languages (SQL, Power Query, Pandas).
• Minimum 3 years experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).
• Minimum 3 years experience with data science languages (Python and R).
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for internal transportation needs.
• Build reusable AI components, data pipelines, and scalable workflows.
• Manage full model lifecycle including development, deployment, monitoring, drift detection, retraining, and inference.
