Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to advance internal AI capabilities across our Transportation Business Group. You will design and deploy AI solutions, build scalable data pipelines, and improve governance and tooling to remove bottlenecks.

The role evolves toward client-facing AI delivery and advisory work as capabilities mature. You will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, manage model lifecycles, and contribute to repeatable AI services while aligning

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with data engineering tools and languages (SQL, Power Query, Pandas).
• 3+ years with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).
• 3+ years with data science languages (Python, R).
• Experience managing end-to-end data science projects and model lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for internal needs (document intelligence, predictive analytics, copilots, automation).
• Build reusable AI components, data pipelines, and scalable workflows.
• Manage full model lifecycle: development, deployment, monitoring, drift, retraining, inference.
