Job summary

The San Diego County Office of Education invites applications for a Coordinator, Artificial Intelligence. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four years of related experience in stakeholder engagement or education technology.
• Experience with educational technology, digital innovation, or AI initiatives in K-12 or educational settings.
• Ability to translate AI concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with policy, governance, and program coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and implementation of the countywide AI strategy.
• Coordinate engagement initiatives with districts, schools, students, families, and external partners.
• Liaise among SDCOE staff and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate the North Star AI Task Force and related groups.
• Design and deliver professional learning, outreach events, and communication resources to build AI literacy and trust.
• Monitor state and federal guidance to keep AI policy current.
• Promote ethical, equitable, transparent adoption of AI in K–12.
