Job summary

District of Columbia Public Schools seeks a Manager of Educational Technology (AI) to lead the integration of instructional technology and AI tools across schools. You will design scalable professional learning, curate AI-enabled resources, and drive teacher empowerment in using technology to improve student outcomes.

You will collaborate with academic teams and central offices to ensure equitable, effective digital learning experiences, while modeling strong project management and privacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; three to five years of related experience in instructional technology or educational technology.
• Experience supporting instructional technology integration and adult professional learning.
• Experience with Canvas LMS, Microsoft 365 or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of AI literacy and instructional applications of AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school and central services leaders to integrate technology and AI into instruction aligned to district goals.
• Design and deliver professional learning (in-person, virtual, and asynchronous); develop Canvas-based training and resources.
• Develop and curate curriculum-aligned digital and AI-enabled instructional resources in collaboration with academic teams.
• Lead AI literacy initiatives, including training, guidance, and resource development for staff, students, and families.
• Coach educators on effective technology integration and instructional best practices.
• Manage projects and initiatives, including timelines, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
