Job summary

Harbor seeks an experienced underwriter to assess agent risk for banks, insurers, and regulated clients. You will drive technical reviews through pricing and terms, shaping how risk scores translate into appetite, limits, and prices.

Working with carriers and reinsurers, you will influence wordings and capacity while aligning the platform with real-world risk insights. You will partner with Engineering to ensure the platform measures what is insured and continuously learn from claims and near

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting complex commercial risk including cyber, tech E&O, professional liability or financial lines.
• Comfort with data and quantitative work and willingness to dive deeper than traditional underwriting.
• Curiosity about how AI systems work and fail, with readiness to learn the technical side.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite agent risk for regulated customers from technical review through pricing and terms.
• Build the underwriting framework mapping risk scores to appetite, limits, retentions and price.
• Collaborate with carrier and reinsurer partners on wordings, programs and capacity.
• Partner with Engineering to align platform measurements with insurable risk.
• Learn from claims, incidents and near misses and feed insights back into the framework.
