Job summary

Harbor is hiring Members of Technical Staff to build and ship safe AI agents for insurance and banking. You will work across research, product and agents to deliver evaluations, runtime controls, and platform features that enable insurers to underwrite and customers to deploy securely.

You will own end-to-end pieces from discovery through deployment, collaborating with a distributed team in San Francisco and across the US and Europe. You will ship fast and own outcomes in a founder mindset.

Qualifications

• Built real systems that people depend on and understand how they work and fail.
• Strong in at least one: ML/LLM, distributed systems, security, or product engineering with taste.
• Shipped software to production and carried a pager.
• Comfortable with a spec that is a conversation with a customer and a launch date.

Responsibilities

• Agent discovery: identify every agent a company runs across clouds and shadow deployments.
• Measurement: evaluations, red-teaming and risk scoring for pricing and regulators.
• Mitigation: runtime controls that stop rule violations at machine speed.
• Platform: the product customers log into daily, plus the SDK and integrations.
• Forward deployment: work with customers to ship Harbor and learn what's missing.
