Job summary

Boardwise GmbH in Germany seeks a hands-on Engineering Lead to guide an outstanding team responsible for backend and frontend systems in a remote-first setup. You will mentor engineers, translate product goals into achievable plans, and shape the technical direction while emphasizing AI-first approaches.

You will manage architecture reviews, balance quality and delivery, collaborate with Product Managers, and contribute directly to features, refactoring, and production issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional backend or full-stack development.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building scalable SaaS products.
• Comfortable in cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 APIs is a plus.
• Experience with F#, or strong C# skills and motivation to learn FP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach an engineering team through regular 1:1s, feedback, and mentoring.
• Translate product goals into realistic engineering plans and work packages.
• Drive architectural decisions and maintain high engineering standards.
• Coordinate dependencies with other teams and align with product managers.
• Hands-on contribution to features, refactoring, and production issues, using AI where helpful.
