Job summary
Block is seeking a Strategic Pricing & Monetization Lead within Strategic Finance to shape how pricing and monetization drive value across sales-driven channels. You will lead a team of pricing partners, collaborate with Sales on complex opportunities, and build scalable frameworks and guardrails for pricing decisions.
You will leverage automation, AI, and data to expand the Deal Desk and inform portfolio-wide pricing initiatives, while partnering with Sales, Product, Legal, Risk, and Revenue
Qualifications
- 12+ years in strategic pricing, monetization, or related field.
- Experience leading a high-performance cross-functional team.
- Experience with enterprise or upmarket pricing negotiations.
- Ability to build pricing frameworks and governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of pricing partners to support complex commercial decisions.
- Collaborate with Sales on strategic opportunities to structure deals.
- Build relationships with Sales leadership to assess revenue and customer economics.
- Establish pricing frameworks, approvals, and risk guardrails.
- Enhance Deal Desk with automation, AI, and scalable processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing, packaging, and monetization.
- Set reporting rhythms to track pricing performance and discounts.
- Create tools and playbooks to guide negotiations.
