Elsevier is seeking a Technical Consultant (Pre-Sales) to lead technical discovery and showcase data-driven use cases across analytics, AI-enabled workflows, and knowledge graphs. You will ground LLMs, agents, and RAG applications in trusted scientific data while partnering with Sales to drive revenue growth.

The role focuses on pre-sales with collaboration across product, professional services, and post-sales teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of data-driven analytics workflows and data integration.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and prompt design.
• Familiarity with cloud and ecosystem tools (AWS, APIs, Docker).
• Degree in science, technology or data field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience delivering technical demos to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and events.

Responsabilités

• Lead pre-sales solution demonstrations and tailor proposals to customer needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Professional Services to ensure feasibility and delivery.
• Scope PoCs, technical evaluations, and pilots with clear trade-offs and dependencies.
• Translate customer requirements into data-driven use cases and architectures.
• Stay current on AI developments and advise on responsible AI practices.
• Provide trusted technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.
