Job summary

Gusto in San Francisco is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to own and optimize the enterprise applications powering Billing, Order-to-Cash, and cash reconciliation.

You will troubleshoot incidents, implement AI-driven automation, and collaborate with Finance to translate business needs into reliable, scalable solutions.

This role requires strong SQL, experience with Zuora and NetSuite, and a track record of improving financial processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8–12 years of experience supporting enterprise/finance applications in billing, O2C, AR, or cash-reconciliation.
• Experience applying AI and automation to finance processes.
• Hands-on experience with Zuora and NetSuite and their integration.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end O2C processes and the systems that support them.
• Experience with NPIs in billing and ERP.
• Experience with financial close activities including reconciliations.
• Experience with ITSM tools and incident/change practices.
• Ability to read/write SQL and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for billing, O2C, and cash-reconciliation apps and manage complex incidents.
• Triage, investigate, and resolve issues within SLAs; perform root-cause analysis.
• Manage incident, problem, change lifecycles in ITSM tools; keep docs current.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve defects and track fixes.
• Support month-end billing runs and ensure invoices are generated on time.
• Identify AI-driven automation to reduce manual effort and tickets.
• Apply automation to configuration, reconciliation tasks.
• Leverage AI for ticket triage, RCA, anomaly detection, knowledge base.
• Automate reconciliations and cash-application logic with Finance.
• Stay current on AI/automation and promote adoption.
• Configure billing rules, pricing, workflows and reconciliation logic.
• Gather requirements and translate to config changes or specs.
• Support testing, deployments, and regression testing.
• Maintain documentation and SOPs for supported apps.
• Monitor integrations between billing/O2C/cash and ERP, banks, gateways.
• Investigate data/interface failures and drive resolution.
• Write/run SQL queries to analyze data and support close.
• Partner with Finance to ensure controls and automated reconciliations.
• Be a trusted contact between IT and Finance Ops.
• Identify automation/processing improvements to reduce effort.
• Support compliance, security, and SOX controls for in-scope apps.
