Job summary

Vizient is seeking a strategic engineering leader to guide AI-enabled analytics initiatives across the enterprise. You will translate business strategy into technical roadmaps, coach engineering teams, and partner with Product, Architecture, Data Science, Security, and Operations to deliver secure, scalable cloud-native solutions.

The role emphasizes Responsible AI governance, DevSecOps, MLOps, and modern software practices, with a focus on enterprise SaaS and healthcare analytics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading engineering organizations in a matrixed environment.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale SaaS/AI-enabled analytics solutions.
• Experience delivering on Microsoft Azure or other public cloud platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams through coaching, mentorship, performance management, and career development.
• Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent to strengthen organizational capability and succession planning.
• Define and execute technical roadmaps aligned with enterprise, product, and business strategies.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Data Science, Data Engineering, Security, and business leaders to deliver AI-enabled analytics applications and intelligent solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices for quality, security, scalability, reliability, and operations.
• Drive adoption of Agile, AI Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC), DevSecOps, MLOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and observability.
• Lead the delivery of secure, scalable, cloud-native applications leveraging advanced analytics, ML, and intelligent automation.
• Champion Responsible AI principles and governance including model evaluation, monitoring, data governance, security and privacy.
• Lead technical risk assessment, resource planning, dependency management, and resolution of complex engineering challenges across multiple teams.
• Define and monitor engineering metrics that measure quality, AI solution effectiveness, reliability, productivity, and adoption.
• Communicate engineering strategy and progress with executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration.
