Job summary

Vizient is seeking a senior software engineer to anchor an AI delivery squad, guiding end-to-end engineering, deployment, and operational support of enterprise AI solutions.

You will design, build, and support AI-powered applications, agentic workflows, and reusable AI capabilities, collaborating with software engineers, AI architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders in a governance-first healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering with API, CI/CD, deployment automation.
• Hands-on experience building production AI apps with post-deployment monitoring.
• Strong Python proficiency and enterprise-grade software development.
• Experience with LLMs and platforms like OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini.
• Cloud-native development, containers, observability, and production support.
• Regulated environments with data governance and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise AI applications and AI-powered APIs.
• Provide technical leadership as the primary contributor for the AI delivery squad.
• Build reusable AI Factory capabilities and platform components.
• Develop AI quality engineering capabilities, including testing and drift detection.
• Support AI Operations (AIOps) and LLMOps with observability and incident response.
• Collaborate with partners to evaluate designs and expand internal AI engineering capabilities.
• Support synthetic data initiatives and governance-first practices in healthcare environments.
