Job summary

Vizient is seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to anchor an AI delivery squad. You will design, build, and support enterprise AI applications, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and model-powered APIs across the full AI delivery lifecycle.

You will lead technical delivery, establish standards, and scale AI capabilities within a governance-first healthcare environment. Strong Python, cloud, and production-support skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering with API, CI/CD, and deployment automation experience.
• Hands-on AI application development, deployment, and production support experience required.
• Strong proficiency in Python and enterprise-grade software development practices.
• Experience with LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise AI applications and AI-powered APIs.
• Lead an AI delivery squad, providing technical leadership and scalable solutions.
• Build reusable AI Factory capabilities and platform components to accelerate adoption.
• Develop AI quality engineering with testing, guardrails, drift detection, and performance optimization.
• Support AIOps and LLMOps with observability, logging, and incident response.
• Contribute to CI/CD, release management, and infrastructure automation for secure delivery.
• Collaborate with teams and partners to evolve engineering standards and knowledge sharing.
• Support governance-first practices in regulated healthcare environments.
