Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced technical manager to coach, grow, and partner with Solutions Architects. You will enable them to craft architectures, present cloud solutions, and drive adoption for customers.

You will work with sales to accelerate revenue across a broad set of customers, hire and onboard new architects, and lead training on AI, cloud, and solution selling. Travel up to 30% is expected, with Houston among the locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise IT experience including hands-on software or DevOps.
• 2+ years architecting/operating cloud solutions across providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI.
• 8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end roadmaps toward cloud computing.
• Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Build AI solutions and migrations onto the AWS platform.
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop new Solutions Architects.
• Educate customers on AWS value and participate in architecture discussions.
• Coach architects in training sessions to transfer deep technical skills to customers.
• Share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Lead creation of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value guidance.
• Build relationships with decision makers to enable them to advocate for AI and cloud.
• Act as liaison between customers, service engineering, and support.
