Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced technical manager to coach, grow, and partner with technically skilled, customer-facing Solutions Architects. You will help develop industry-leading AI and cloud-based architects by enabling them on best practices, solution selling, presentation, and architecture delivery for varying sizes and complexities.
This role is open for Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Washington DC locations; travel up to 30% is expected.
Qualifications
- 10+ years enterprise IT experience, incl. 2+ years hands-on software development or DevOps.
- 2+ years architecting/operating solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
- 8+ years in technology solutions development and guiding IT roadmaps toward cloud.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience leading and growing senior tech teams, preferably in customer-facing roles.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver AI and cloud solutions on AWS platform.
- Hire, onboard, train, and develop Solutions Architects.
- Educate customers on AWS value; lead architectural discussions for cloud deployments.
- Coach architects to transfer deep technical skills through training sessions.
- Capture and share best-practices within the AWS solutions architect community.
- Guide creation of whitepapers, data sheets, and customer guidance.
