Chime's AI & App Experience (AAX) engineering leadership role seeks an accomplished manager to guide a squad of 4-5 engineers, own delivery end-to-end, and mentor career growth while writing code alongside the team.

You will shape LLM-powered features, ensure safety and observability, collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Risk, and drive tech direction in a fast-growing FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in people management responsibilities.
• Current, hands-on coding ability and the desire to keep it.
• Track record of using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and adoption by a team.
• Familiarity with shipping LLM-powered products, guardrails, and observability.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Data Science, Risk.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a squad of 4-5 engineers: hiring, coaching, performance, delivery.
• Own end-to-end delivery for the squad, including planning, commitments, and SLAs.
• Write and ship code alongside the team and influence technical direction.
• Lead the design and delivery of LLM-powered capabilities with proper guardrails and observability.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and Risk on scope and planning.
• Support engineersor career progression and growth.
