Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Data Scientist to build agentic AI systems for cybersecurity, training models and evaluating AI agents on security tasks. You’ll join a team that processes trillions of events daily and work at the cutting edge of AI in security.

You will partner with cybersecurity experts, research new agentic methods, and contribute to production-ready workflows while staying current with AI developments and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in machine learning, probability, and statistics with good experimental design.
• PhD-level depth of understanding in modern ML research; equivalent mastery expected, not required as a degree.
• Experience training generative models and LLMs; familiarity with training fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Work at the intersection of AI and Threat Research.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to understand analyst workflows.
• Post-train LLMs and agents to automate analyst procedures and improve reliability.
• Design AI agents and complex workflows including planning, tool use, and memory.
• Research new planning approaches and prototype state-of-the-art methods.
• Establish benchmarking criteria and rigorous evaluation pipelines.
• Optimize prompts and inference for better model performance.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Data Science, and Managed Services toward production.
