Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to lead the next generation of AI/ML technologies, shaping technical vision and driving hands-on innovation.

You will collaborate with scientists, software engineers, and PMs to deliver strategic AI capabilities and GenAI deployments for cyber security applications. You’ll mentor teams, define research directions, and work with senior leadership to align technical strategy with business goals, while pushing the boundaries of AI safety and scalable AI

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of applied ML/research experience with production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training or post-training/deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership including mentoring teams and driving technical strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, Deep Learning frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Expert-level understanding of GPU technologies and optimisation techniques.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Track record of solving complex technical challenges at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop clever, innovative, and efficient solutions to problems in AI safety and cyber detection.
• Co-develop end-to-end RD strategies: data sourcing, labeling, modeling, evaluation, and engineering collaboration.
• Interoperate with product and engineering teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Drive innovation in LLM-related research and development with security experts.
• Balance accuracy, efficiency, and costs of deployed AI/ML models.
• Lead GenAI model architecture decisions and deployment strategies.
• Guide and mentor data scientists and foster engineering excellence.
