CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to build agentic systems for cybersecurity, training models on nearly a trillion behavioral events daily. You will develop AI agents, plan and reason across workflows, and measure performance with rigorous statistical methods.

You will work with Engineering, Data Science, and Managed Services to take prototypes toward production and stay at the forefront of AI research relevant to security operations.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in ML, probability, and statistics.
• PhD-level depth of understanding in modern ML research; doctorate not required but mastery expected.
• Experience training generative models and LLMs; knowledge of architecture, optimization, tokenization.
• Reinforcement learning/post-training methods: RLHF/RLAIF, reward modeling.
• Experience building agentic systems: planning, tool calls, retrieval/memory.
• Systematic prompt optimization and designing evals for LLM systems.
• Fluency with GPUs, PyTorch, and LLM training/serving stacks.
• Strong reproducible research engineering and clear communication in large teams.
• Proven ability applying AI to improve decision-making and workflows.

Responsabilités

• Work at the intersection of AI and Threat Research.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to understand analyst workflows.
• Post-train LLMs and agents to automate analyst tasks.
• Design AI agents and complex workflows with planning and memory.
• Research new agentic planning approaches from literature.
• Establish benchmarking criteria with rigorous statistics.
• Optimize prompts and inference for optimal model performance.
• Collaborate across Engineering and Data Science to move prototypes to production.
• Keep abreast of AI developments and identify research priorities.
