Job summary

Komatsu West is seeking an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Technician to support deployment and operation of our AHS technology integrated into Komatsu 930E haul trucks. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance and assist with autonomous system conversions, working closely with senior technicians in a dynamic mining setting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting, with a proactive mindset for

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in heavy equipment maintenance or mining operations.
Technical certification or associate degree in Diesel Technology, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
Able to read schematics and manuals.
Willing to work rotational shifts in outdoor mining environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to continuous learning in autonomous mining technology.

Responsibilities

Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance on Komatsu 930E haul trucks for autonomous operation.
Collaborate with Tier 1 technicians during conversion and commissioning.
Perform preventive maintenance on suspension, braking, hoist, and steering systems.
Assist with autonomous haulage system functions including vehicle escort and restarts.
Maintain service records and follow escalation protocols.
Communicate with technicians, site supervisors, and operations staff.
Engage in training modules toward Tier 1 certification.
Adhere to safety and environmental policies.
