Job summary

Komatsu West is seeking an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Technician to support deployment and operation of our autonomous mining technology on Komatsu 930E haul trucks. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance, assist with conversions, and uphold safety and reliability in rugged mining environments.

The role offers training through Komatsu's programs and opportunities to advance toward Tier 1 certification, with rotational shifts, outdoor conditions, and collaboration

Qualifications

• . Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance or mining operations in rugged environments.
• . Strong ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
• . Basic proficiency with mechanic tool sets used in Komatsu maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mechanical and electrical maintenance on Komatsu 930E haul trucks to ensure safe autonomous operation.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 technicians during autonomous conversion and commissioning.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks on suspensions, brakes, hoists, and steering components.
• Assist with Autonomous Haulage System functions including vehicle escort duties and system restarts.
• Maintain accurate service records and escalate issues per protocols.
• Communicate with supervisors and operations staff to ensure readiness and rapid response to maintenance needs.
