Gateway FS, Inc. seeks a Crop Specialist in Illinois to develop customers through marketing of crop inputs and services.

You will sell fertilizers, crop protection products, seeds, and agronomic services while driving profitable sales within your territory. The role requires an Associate’s Degree in agriculture, marketing, or business and 2+ years’ related experience, plus the ability to travel, obtain a driver’s license, and potentially pursue certifications such as CCA/CCS/CPAg or Commercial

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in agriculture, marketing, or business and 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Professional certifications such as CCA, CCS, CPAg or Commercial Applicator may be required/beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes marketing plans and sales strategies in the assigned territory.
• Builds territory and competitive awareness to stay current on market conditions.
• Delivers value-added agronomic products, services, and recommendations to patrons.
• Schedules product delivery and applications to customer locations.
• Leads patron meetings and informs on product/technical information.
• Manages credit terms, quotes prices, and prepares sales contracts.
• Maintains vehicle and adheres to company policies; supports general account management.
