Job summary

Evergreen FS, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to join our agronomy team in Illinois.

The role offers hands-on training across sales and operations, with opportunities to develop market knowledge, assist with customer programs, and drive growth in agronomy services. Ideal candidates will have an associates degree in agriculture or related field and be prepared for travel, extended hours, and certifications including CDL, CCA, and Commercial Applicator.

Qualifications

Associates degree in agriculture, marketing or business related discipline (or equivalent) and 1–2+ years of business-related work experience.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Willing to obtain CDL within first year of employment.
Ability to obtain Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and Commercial Applicator certifications.
Daily travel within the trade area with occasional overnight stays.
Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
Able to lift 51–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Train and learn all aspects of the agronomy department, including sales and operations.
Develop territory and competitive analysis to understand marketplace and competition.
Meet or exceed goals set by supervisor.
Learn to create and recommend agronomy programs to targeted accounts to grow agronomy business.
Utilize seed, precision farming technology, finance and other marketing tools to grow market share.
Collaborate with Crop Specialist on agronomy projects and trials.
Develop target marketing plans and train on sales techniques and contact management when calling on patrons.
Assist with patron meetings on product and technical information to build relationships and drive sales.
Operate application equipment and related tasks such as mixing crop protection products.
Work with precision farming and understand department programs and procedures.
Provide customer service by scheduling deliveries, soil testing, crop scouting and other programs.
Attend meetings and training sessions as requested by the company.
