Job summary

Evergreen FS is seeking talented individuals to join our agronomy team in Illinois. You will train across sales and operations, develop territory knowledge, and work with Crop Specialists on agronomy projects to grow the business.

You will learn marketing plans, use seed and precision farming tools, and support customer relationships while meeting supervisor-set goals. This role requires field work, some travel, and a commitment to safety and best practices.

Qualifications

• Associates’ Degree in agriculture, marketing or business related discipline or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of business related work experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Training and learning all aspects of the agronomy department, including sales and operations.
• Develops territory and competitive analysis to understand the marketplace and competition.
• Meet goals as established by supervisor.
• Learn to create and recommend agronomy programs to targeted accounts to grow agronomy business.
• Operate with seed, precision farming technology, finance and other marketing tools to grow market share.
• Work with Crop Specialist on implementing agronomy projects including Hybrid/Variety Side-by-sides and MiFIELD Trials.
• Develop target marketing plans and train on professional sales techniques and contact management.
• Assist with patron meetings on product and technical information to develop customer relationships and drive sales.
• Operate application equipment and drive tendering equipment, handle anhydrous ammonia tanks, mix crop protection products.
• Collaborate with precision farming and understand department programs and procedures.
• Schedule product deliveries and applications, soil testing, crop scouting and other programs.
• Attend meetings and training sessions requested by the company.
