Job summary
Hydrite Chemical Co. is seeking an Agriculture Account Manager in Ankeny, IA to grow our customer base and manage relationships while selling fertilizer and agricultural chemicals. A bachelor’s degree in an agriculture-related field is preferred, with 5+ years of sales or technical experience and willingness to travel.
You will own territory plans, secure new opportunities, and lead business reviews. You will design treatment programs, analyze performance data, and mentor Account Manager I roles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture-related field preferred.
- 5+ years of sales or related technical experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute strategic territory and account plans with minimal direction.
- Consistently secure new business opportunities with higher revenue and margin impact.
- Build deep, multi-level relationships with customer decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
- Lead structured business reviews and develop action plans to improve performance.
- Anticipate customer needs and respond proactively to competitive threats.
- Design and optimize chemical treatment programs leveraging Hydrite’s capabilities.
- Analyze data to validate performance and refine treatment approaches.
- Serve as primary technical resource for medium-to-large accounts and mentor junior roles.
- Develop forecasts and territory analyses to guide decision-making.
