Job summary

BigIron is seeking an Equipment Sales Representative in Colby, KS to build long-term customer relationships and drive equipment sales through our online auction platform. The role covers an assigned local territory, with daily travel and a home-based office when not meeting customers.

Qualifications

3+ years of sales, territory management, or customer-facing business development experience.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the territory.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently in a performance-driven sales environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, ranchers, landowners, and local ag businesses.
Prospect for new business through in-person visits, referrals, networking, and phone outreach.
Meet with customers on farms and within the assigned territory.
Evaluate equipment, discuss auction timing, pricing, and selling options.
Secure consignment agreements for upcoming auctions.
Coordinate with marketing, listing, and operations teams to prepare equipment for sale.
Support customers through the auction process and provide ongoing service after the sale.
Manage and grow revenue within the territory.
