Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You’ll learn multiple routes, load and deliver garments and products, and ensure timely, courteous service for our customers.

This role requires a proactive, customer‑oriented mindset, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and a commitment to safety, DOT compliance, and on‑time problem solving across the service team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation.
• DOT compliance including a DOT physical.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stay on feet for extended periods.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with learning new technologies to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests independently and maintain satisfaction.
• Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and ensure vehicle safety/appearance.
• Follow traffic laws and safety policies to protect customers and the company.
• Collaborate with Service and Management teams to support new account installs and route coverage.
• Share customer feedback with location leadership and monitor local market activity.
