Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an Agentic AI Forward-Deployed Engineer to embed with defense programs, map workflows, and deploy AI agents that automate complex processes. You will craft evaluation suites, ensure observability, and scale from shadow mode to production while driving workforce adoption and change management.

You will collaborate with the Disruption Cell, delivering repeatable patterns, playbooks, and reusable components across programs, and you may engage with customers to define value

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software or ML engineering.
• 2+ years of experience building apps with generative and agentic AI.
• Production experience deploying LLM-powered systems in a live environment.
• Experience coding in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience eliciting requirements from customers and guiding adoption of new tech.
• Knowledge of evaluation techniques for non-deterministic systems and human-in-the-loop feedback.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document how work actually happens with program teams.
• Create automation roadmaps prioritizing high-value workflows.
• Design, build, and deploy AI agents that use existing tools and data sources.
• Develop evaluation frameworks, golden datasets, and regression tests.
• Drive adoption, train the workforce, and manage change around automation.
• Codify learnings into playbooks and reusable components.
