Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise DevOps across cloud providers and on‑prem environments. You’ll configure containerized components, pipelines, and security tooling while collaborating with customers to ensure scalable AI-enabled solutions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in DevOps, strong container and automation skills, and the ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, deploying, and troubleshooting DevOps infrastructure across cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-prem environments.
• 4+ years of experience with container technologies including Docker, container orchestration, virtual machines, and Infrastructure-as-Code environments.
• 3+ years of experience with DevOps and automation platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Flux.
• Experience with data routing and integrating new tools into existing tech environments, and designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD workflows and DevOps automation platforms.
• Experience with network and system troubleshooting across UNIX or Linux environments.
• Experience in front-facing or forward-deployed engineering roles.
• Knowledge of Python, SDLC, Bash scripting, and basic cybersecurity concepts.
• Ability to travel up to 20% and obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering and 2+ years of software engineering, or 6+ years of software engineering in lieu of a degree
