Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to turn validated AI solutions into working customer deployments. You will work directly with customers to implement workflows, integrate enterprise systems, and demonstrate that the solution meets agreed technical acceptance criteria.

You will adapt reusable agent components, configure environments and instrumentation, diagnose integration issues, and prepare deployment, rollback, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-facing software or AI implementations from requirements through deployment and handover.
• Experience in Python or TypeScript and integrating enterprise APIs, authentication, data sources, and business workflows
• Experience developing or adapting agent workflows, model integrations, retrieval-augmented generation, and tool connections
• Experience deploying applications in cloud or enterprise environments and configuring access, secrets, and application security controls
• Experience building customer-specific test and evaluation suites and validating results against agreed quality and performance thresholds
• Ability to implement end-to-end instrumentation and use traces, logs, and metrics to troubleshoot behavior, integrations, latency, and cost
• Ability to prepare deployment and rollback procedures, runbooks, solution inventories, and technical knowledge-transfer materials
• Ability to manage implementation dependencies, communicate limitations, and obtain explicit acceptance of deliverables and support responsibilities
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Responsibilities

• Turn validated AI solutions into working customer deployments.

• Adapt reusable agent components, configure customer environments and instrumentation, and diagnose integration, retrieval, model, and workflow issues.
• Establish customer evaluation baselines, coordinate readiness reviews, and prepare deployment, rollback, troubleshooting, and enablement materials.
• Accountability includes implementation quality, initial deployment, technical acceptance, and handover to designated operational owners and Customer Success.
• Return reusable improvements and recurring defects to engineering.
