Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an AI/ML Engineer who can embed with client teams to map workflows, data flows, decision points, and exception paths, then deploy agentic AI at scale. You will design, build, and deploy agents that reason, plan, and act across tools and data sources while integrating with existing systems.

You’ll validate performance with evaluation suites and drive adoption through training and change management across client engagements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software, ML engineering, consulting, or solutions engineering.
• 4+ years building applications with generative/agentic AI (LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, multi-agent orchestration).
• Experience deploying LLM-powered systems to production with monitoring and iteration.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript production code.
• Experience eliciting requirements and guiding adoption with customers.
• Knowledge of evaluation techniques for non-deterministic systems.
• Able to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to observe workflows, data flows, decision points, and exception paths.
• Create operating maps and automation roadmaps prioritizing high-value workflows.
• Design, build, and deploy AI agents that integrate with tools and data sources.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and regression tests for agent behavior.
• Instrument auditing, monitoring, and metrics to show value and hours saved.
• Drive adoption, train workforce, and manage change around automation.
• Codify learnings into playbooks and reusable components across engagements.
